Oct. 1, 2020: DEA Registration Fee Increase
Oct 1, 2020
Effective October 1, 2020, the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) fees for the 3-year DEA registration cycle are increasing from $731 to $888. This fee increase applies to all new registration applications and renewals submitted to the DEA on or after October 1, 2020. Dentists prescribing Schedule II, III, IV, or V controlled substances must register with the DEA and maintain an active registration. Controlled substances requiring dentists to have a DEA registration include narcotic analgesics, such as hydrocodone and oxycodone, as well as for hydrocodone combination products (HCPs) which were recently reclassified as Schedule II.
