Meetings & Events

The San Antonio District Dental Society hosts various meetings and events throughout the year that are available to both members and non-members. Our New Dentist Committee study club and continuing education programs are open to all dentists, staff, and students in the dental community. We also hold bi-monthly General Membership meetings that we strongly encourage all members to attend. Non-members are welcome to attend as guests, but kindly register beforehand. Our Event Calendar is a great resource for tracking District meetings, CE courses, social events, and community outreach opportunities. Be sure to check the calendar frequently to stay informed about upcoming events and meetings. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach is considered best practice in the management of sleep apnea. By collaborating across dental, sleep medicine, ENT, plastic surgery, and maxillofacial surgery specialties, a comprehensive treatment plan can be developed. We will discuss an approach that incorporates advanced diagnostics, laser therapy, and semaglutide-based weight management to support overall patient care.

Course Objectives:

  • Define and discuss sleep apnea
  • Review comprehensive treatment planning strategies
  • Identify and discuss airway anatomical variants
  • Explore ancillary treatment protocols, including laser therapy and weight management
